As you may know, the property market in Lanzarote as with other places around the World is supposed to have slowed down, however due to the efforts we put into maintaining a strong web presence, we still generate in excess of 100 enquiries each week resulting in many sales. A few months ago there were in excess of 200 estate agents in Lanzarote, but as the market conditions have toughened the weak and the disorganised have fallen by the wayside leaving about 80. Many of these are paying thousands in office rents and staff wages. Unfortunately visitor numbers to the island are down so there simply are not enough people walking past the windows of these offices to generate sales. Add to this the fact that all of these agents have more property than window space to display and it´s not surprising that they are failing to sell properties.

with a few exceptions the top 25 properties by price are all marketed by Lanzacasas. In fact we advertise on the top 40 relevant sites putting our properties in front of over 20 million unique viewers each month. This is why we have such a good reputation and we get clients coming to us to market their properties when they have had no success with other agents (not surprising when you see the prices the other agents were trying to achieve). It is also our policy to only take on properties if they are keenly priced. It is not in the interest of us, buyers or sellers to have properties simply sitting on a database, we are here to sell them. This leads to examples where lots of our properties are on the net with other agents at higher prices which make the market look silly.

Recently with our help Gary Smith viewed a suitable property and in the month while he was waiting for the sale to go though he took 6500 pounds in rental income.
